This short art based film is a glimpse of the War through a young boys eyes.  Narrated by his namesake and granddaughter Devy.

In an ideal world one would only hope our childhood memories would be loaded with wonderful stories of endless possibilities and feeling of constant security,. For children of war childhood memories become lifelong nightmares. Germans invaded Yasi, Romania in 1940. Devy was 9 years old. Germans soldiers were everywhere they filled the shops and went on buying sprees.  It was no secret that the Germans were on route to invade the Soviet Union considering Yasi was approximately 50 Kilometers from Balsarovia, Russia. The programs began June 22 1941 witnessing horrible deaths had become common ground in Yasi. The film gives a brief overview of Devy’s life from age 9 through 20 . It recaps what he witnessed, his family dynamics and his journey from Romania to Canada.
